This month Cassandra Huidobro, John Daly, and David Allard will be in the shop signing their books.

Cassy Huidobro was born in Lima, Peru and raised in the D.C. area of Virginia. She’s a writer and a poet, and advocates for social change by bringing awareness to divisive issues our society faces. Only then, she says, we’ll finally see each other for who we really are: Human. She holds an M.A. in Languages and Literature from the University of Utah and loves spending time with friends (books included) and family.

About Is Anyone Else Feeling the Same Way?
Growing up, Cassy hungered for answers to spiritual questions she simply couldn’t get. It was either taboo to talk about religion, or people couldn’t touch the topic without judging different beliefs. She would ask herself many questions, such as: Is there really one absolute religion?; Do we have a path set up before we come to Earth? These and other questions led her to a quest of self-discovery, purpose and belonging. Through personal stories, Cassy gets honest with readers and shares her journey of spirituality, lost love, reflection and finding peace. In this book, you’ll find solidarity in the search for finding answers, if you’ve ever felt the same way.
A lifelong Coloradoan, John Daly graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1996 with a degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems. He spent the next fifteen years
developing accounting software and Internet-based, workflow collaboration solutions. With a thirst for creative expression, John developed an interest in writing. He later became drawn toward more substantive commentary on world events. He currently writes political, cultural, and media-analysis columns for the website of Bernard Goldberg, former CBS News journalist and bestselling author. John felt compelled to take his writing to the next level after watching a television interview with former NFL football player, Tim Green. Inspired by Green’s career transition from a professional athlete to an accomplished author, John found the motivation to begin work on his first novel, From a Dead Sleep. John lives in Greeley, Colorado with his wife and two children.

About From a Dead Sleep:
Few residents in the small, secluded mountain-town of Winston, Colorado have kind words to say about security guard Sean Coleman. He’s a bully, a drunk, and a crime-show addicted, armchair detective with an overactive imagination. After a night of poor judgment, Sean finds himself the sole witness to the unusual suicide of a mysterious stranger. With the body whisked away in the chilling rapids of a raging river, no one believes Sean’s account. Tormented over the doubts and mockery of the people of Winston, Sean embarks on a far-reaching crusade that takes him across the country in search of the dead man’s identity and personal vindication. At the end, he hopes to find redemption and the truth—but sometimes the truth is better left unknown. There are times when the truth invites evil. There are times when the truth can get you killed.
David Allard began working as a geologist in the oil business in San Francisco, after finishing school in Pennsylvania. He moved in 1981 to the oil patch of Midland, Texas to work for a major O&G company, and in 1988 to Houston working international projects. In 1998, after joining an independent oil and gas company, he moved his family to live in Egypt, followed five years later by a Scotland assignment. David took on management roles of increasing responsibility starting in 2000. After returning to the US in 2006 work locations have involved 3 different states. David has had a varied career of over 35 years as a petroleum geologist, involving many new field discoveries, publications and public presentations.
