Critical Conversations Lecture Series: Selah Saterstrom

BookBar is teaming up with CRI Hub for a three-part monthly lecture series entitled Critical Conversations. The lectures will focus on different themes, with Denver-based writers and public intellectuals speaking on topics connected to their new books.

October's lecturer is Selah Saterstrom, and will focus on Divinatory Poetics. 


Selah Saterstrom is the author of the novels, Slab (2015), The Meat and Spirit Plan (2007) and The Pink Institution (2004). Her novel Slab was adapted for the stage by Square Product Theatre in Boulder, Colorado and was awarded the 2014 True West Award. In 2015, her book of essays, Ideal Suggestions: Essays in Divinatory Poetics was awarded the Essay Press Book Award and was published in October of 2017. She teaches and lectures internationally and is the Editor of the Denver Quarterly at the University of Denver, where she also teaches Creative Writing and Literature.
