About the Book: Rosary Without Beads is a back-hills narrative for the 1800's Lincoln County War. The novel reboots Billy the Kid's academic legend and gives voice to the silent story haunting the hills of New Mexico. Ambrosia Salazar, a sheepherder's daughter, battles against a traditional Catholic betrothal to Ramon in lustful trade for Billy. The story promises passion, Wild West violence and emotional courage as Ambrosia discovers defiant talents of her own.

About the Author: Diana Holguín-Balogh spent childhood Fourth of Julys at Billy the Kid Days in Lincoln, New Mexico. After a cousin's funeral in Mescalero, her brother showed her the graves of Shotgun Roberts and Dick Brewer. Near old Blazer's Mill along U.S. Route 70, killer and victim lay side by side, one a Regulator, the other a House fighter. She knew the señoritas loved the bilingual Kid and found historical fiction possibilities fascinating-thus the catalyst for Rosary Without Beads. Shadowboxing the Ghost of Guadalupe, her first manuscript, was named Top of the Mountain Book Award finalist for Northern Colorado Writers. The Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers' Anthology, Found, a Colorado Book Award Recipient, featured her story, "Telling Bones." She enjoys Colorado with her husband, Nick, and two cats.
