Book Launch with Raymond White

Join author Raymond White on Saturday, 12/28 at 5:00pm in celebrating the launch of his new book No Goodbyes.

Raymond White is a retired consulting engineering firm owner, a graduate of MIT, a former Naval Officer, and in retirement a long-time volunteer with Project C.U.R.E., a non-profit that donates medical supplies and equipment to underserved countries around the world. He married Renie in 1973 and lived a life of adventure with her.

About the Book: Lorene ‘Renie’ Sharp White was born into an affluent Middle Tennessee family, but she was born with a heart defect that neither affluence nor medical science could cure. This defect shadowed her entire life, becoming more and more of a burden as the years passed, but in spite of it, she lived a remarkably full and admirable life. She graduated from college and divinity school, married, became an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church and had a pastorate of counseling, often counseling people whose problems were far less burdensome than her own. As her heart and lungs deteriorated, she became a candidate for a heart-lung transplant and with her family and friends underwent the rigors and hopes that such a surgery required and offered. Hers is a story of love, devotion, determination and cutting-edge medical science. With a Foreword by transplant surgeon and former U.S. Senator and Senate Majority Leader William Harrison Frist, MD.
