Join High Schoolers Madeleine Dodge and Olivia Wischmeyer for the launch of their book Does A Giraffe Ever Feel Small?. Proceeds from ook sales will go to Reading Partners Colorado and Books for Africa.
About the Book:
Does A Giraffe Ever Feel Small explores the idea of giraffes, zebras, hippos, and more animals of the African savanna learning to love what makes them different from others. It is a inspirational and darling snapshot of each animal’s remarkable oddities that uncover a bigger picture into how to love yourself exactly as you are.
About the Author:
Madeleine Dodge is a senior at George Washington High School, and an avid reader, writer, and dreamer. As a student, she finds the time to write late at night when no one can hear her typing away at her typewriter. Her biggest wish is for a world where everyone is able to learn freely, love boundlessly, and live fiercely.
About the Illustrator:
Olivia Wischmeyer, a senior at East High School, began her arts as early as Pre-K. She took classes for 7 years and now has found her voice in activism art that strives to bring awareness to the most pressing issues of the 21st Century. Madeleine and Olivia have been friends since they were five-years- old. They spent their years together growing up in matching dresses and being called by one another's names. Publishing this book together has been a dream of many years, and they are extremely excited to finally share it with the public.
