Kerrie Flanagan and Jenny Sundstedt:

Write Away; A Year of Musings and Motivations for Writers

Write Away; A Year of Musings and Motivations, combines monthly insightful and humorous stories about writing, with tips, tools and interactions that encourage writers to reflect on where they are and where they want to be. From Writing Naked to Writing an Effective Query Letter, the essays remind readers of the unique nuances in the life of a writer and provide practical advice for strengthening skills and knowledge.

Kerrie Flanagan:

Claire’s Christmas Catastrophe

10-year-old Claire loves Christmas. But this year a horrible Christmas Eve blizzard leaves her stuck in the house with her annoying twin brothers, no electricity and she can’t be with her friends. To make it worse, she realizes her Grandma can’t make it over to their house to spend the holiday with them. Will this end up being Claire’s worst Christmas ever?

Planes, Trains and Chuck & Eddie

In Planes, Trains and Chuck & Eddie, Kerrie Flanagan's lighthearted essays remind us that time spent with family is always an adventure! From growing up in the shadows of her younger twin brothers, to a three- decade cross-country search for the perfect pizza to learning the unwritten rules of marrying into a "game" family, Flanagan shares entertaining snapshots of her life through the lens of family.

April Moore:

Bobbing for Watermelons

Forty-one-year-old food columnist Helen Munson, unappreciated by her two teenagers and her lazy husband, longs for more out of life, but hasn’t a clue how to make that happen. In fact, her tendency to overreact and put herself in embarrassing situations sabotages her own efforts to assert herself. With help from a cast of quirky characters, Helen just might be able to pull of the transformation of a lifetime.

Dean Miller:

Echoes: Reflections Through Poetry and Verse

Deep within us are places we avoid, wellsprings of despondency and tenderness. Tangled among suffering, happiness, confusion, and love, a voice silently waits. Negotiating a labyrinth of emotions, Miller's poetry and the powerful illustrations, articulate the echoes of life's diversity.

And Then I Smiled: Reflections on a Life Not Yet Complete

And Then I Smiled: Reflections on a Life Not Yet Complete finds grace in life's simplest moments. Through poems, essays and stories, readers journey from beaches, mountain streams and city parks to destinations in realms seldom visited, both inside and outside the physical world. Seemingly average moments of life create the backdrop for Miller's keen observations and thought provoking, often deeply personal essays.
